Therminol ALD is a synthetic heat transfer medium intended for use in the
liquid phase for indirect process heating between 7° C and 310° C. Therminol ALD
exhibits thermal stability superior to that of mineral oils used in similar applications,
which results in a favorable cost/ performance ratio. Its high purity and low water
content result in a corrosion-free operations and smooth start ups.

Liquid phase systems using Therminol ALD are finding use in applications which traditionally use steam as the heating medium. Savings in capital, operation and maintenance costs are often achieved as a result.
Therminol ALD is used in a wide variety
of industries, such as:
- Extruding
- Barge heating
- Calendar roll heating
- Waste heat recovery
- Solar energy systems
